Puttshack HOUSTON

On our recent visit to Houston, a friend suggested we have dinner and drinks at Puttshack, a golf-themed gastro-bar with views of the Downtown Houston skyline.

I’ll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first. A restaurant that combines games and gastronomy didn’t seem like an obvious hit for a group of fiftysomethings. But once we arrived, my doubts quickly faded. The space was open and inviting, with a vibe that was equal parts fun and homey—perfect for both casual catch-ups and relaxed dining.

Even better, the menu wasn’t just playing around. It offered inventive international fusion dishes, complemented by a great selection of well-crafted cocktails that impressed more than a few in our group.

The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. Despite not having a reservation, they gladly honored our request for a specific table and cozy corner—a small gesture that made a big difference. (Arriving early, well before the post-work dinner crowd, definitely worked in our favor.)

This time, we can confidently say: "Houston, we don’t have a problem."
